Everything a letter, report or form needs

The familiar toolbar, the shortcuts you already know, and a page that looks the way it will print.

Real Word files, not copies

Open a .docx, edit it and save it back as a Word document that opens in Microsoft Word.

Everyday formatting

Fonts and sizes, bold, italic and underline, colours and highlight, alignment, line spacing, bullets and numbering.

Tables and pictures

Insert tables and pictures, page breaks, and find and replace, with undo for everything.

Paste your signature

Copy a picture of your signature and paste it straight into a letter, then resize and align it.

See where pages end

Page-split marks show where each page will break, and printing or saving as PDF matches what you see.

More than Word

Also opens plain text, RTF, Markdown, HTML and JSON files as documents.

Light and dark

Follows your system, or pick light or dark yourself. In dark mode the page stays white, like paper.

Private and offline

Documents stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded, no sign-in.

Questions and answers

Will my document look the same in Microsoft Word?

It saves a real .docx, so it opens in Word, Pages and Google Docs. Very complex layouts can shift a little, as they do between any two word processors.

Can I make a PDF?

Yes: print the document and choose to save it as PDF, and the pages match what you see.

Is this a separate app?

No. Documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs and Universal pages are all part of RR Universal Office. One licence opens every one of them.

Can I try it first?

Yes. Everything works, free, for 7 days from the first time you open it on each device, with no card and no account. After that the app asks you to buy: your files stay and can still be opened, and buying lets you change, make, save, share and print them again.

What do I need to run it?

A Mac with macOS 12 Monterey or later, or a PC with Windows 10 or 11, or an Android phone or tablet with Android 7 or later.

Android says it can't install unknown apps, or Play Protect warns me. Is it safe?

Yes. Android asks this for any app installed from a website instead of the Play Store. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source for your browser, go back and tap Install. If Play Protect says it hasn’t scanned the app, tap More details, then Install anyway. The app keeps your files on your phone and only contacts this site to check its licence.
